My Cursor Pointer is Invisible. Help?

Trying to setup Windows Media Center on my new laptop. But my cursor is invisible when trying to navigate WMC. Makes things darn near impossible. My cursor is visible using any other program. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Found the cure. Had to turn pointer trails off.

tried this?
control panel->mouse-> pointers tab->uncheck "enable pointer shadow"-> apply
