Hi GuysJust looking at replaceing my old alienware 5700m laptop basically i killed it. Had a GPU die then replaced it with same and its been overheating had it looked at a couple of times and no joy if i even turn counter strike on the computer turned off AS SOON as it loads.I am after something to play games on cant do without my games
i dont turn setting up to full i play games using their default setting no fiddling around so probably wont be doing any max res/full settings. I mainly used to play CS:source, WOW, City of Villain/Heroes, Warhammer I wanna get SPORE but dont know what else it will need to play depends whats games take my fancy. The alienware has a 6800 go i think (dont think it is the ultra) and i always found this to be fine but suppose games moved on a little since i bought it.Would prefer to spend £700 and found the following for that

Is this actually anygood? i have also read a few things about G46 + G86 chip GPU going wrong can anyone confirm this or if anythings been sorted now.Going more expensive i think ROCKDIRECT may be the best option if i have to spend more as for £999 i can get this:
............... ok so there website wont load right now but it was the xtreme 770 using it had 4GB of RAM, 7200rpm HDD, processor was 2.4 800mhz 3mb cache
This could come with either a GF 7950GTX OR GF 8700m GT
OR with only the choice of the 7950GTX the processor can be upgraded to a 2.6ghz 800mhz with 4mb cache but the RAM only goes up to 3GB
These can come with 1GB of Turbo Memory what is this and is it worth getting?
ok so opinion are wanted and if you know of any good laptops for playing games on that you feel for the money cant be beaten (around £700) please post them here along with a link (a UK link as thats where i am and where i will be buying from)
