Changed motherboard but still having problems

Hello, I'm hoping someone can help me with my problem... A couple of years back i purchased an alienware 51m 7700 notebook with a clevo d900t mobo. I had problems with it (automatically shutting down, and then eventually not even powering up). So after alienware told me they won't help me, i decided to hit the internet. And this is where i came to the conclusoin that i needed to replace my motherboard
So i have just purchased a new mobo (clevo d900t v5.3) installed it and albeit, problem still happening. it didnt even post the first try, but the 2nd try it post and even loaded onto my desktop screnn where i was able to mess around for about 20 mins or so. and now back to the not starting up again.
So i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or did the mobo just fry again (if that even was the problem).

It sounds like you replaced a bad mobo with a bad mobo. If you bought it from a business, send it back. If you bought it from a private party, you probably got screwed.

But it allows me to atleast get into the set up on start-up. and then from there it just decides to shut off. is that still a motherboard issue. i thought if it was a motherboard issue it wouldnt even allow me to get into there.

Did you load the hard drive controller driver during install? It asks you to hit F6 if you need a RAID driver, and you do with the m7700 whether using RAID or not...

You can get the drivers from AW's driver download page in their support section.

Ever considered a faulty RAM stick? Are you using the same from your old mobo?
Try new RAM a see what happens....
