There's a plugin for it. The page is in a foreign language, but get it downloaded and installed. Works very well. Been using it for 3 months!

http://mijav.dk/ Click the "Download DLL" link. Download it, unzip it, and throw the .dll file into the Plugins subdirectory of the Winamp directory (usually C:\Program Files\Winamp)

Tried both methods, both work great

only differance is with the logitech software is that you loose the blue sound meter, not a big deal

Blue sound meter?
I didn't like the Logitech because it was causing my DVD player to jump 2 chapters everytime I hit the Next/PreviousTrack keys on the right ..

i was referring to the blue sound meter that appears when you press the sound buttons.
i prefer the new meter like 10 000 times better, than the blue one

Weird...i never had a volume meter besides the regular win xp one..... How would i be able to get one? I formatted as soon as i opened it so maybe it's a program of some sort that Dell put in?
You require dell quickset to get that meter to appear

I dont think so. There are probibly standard signals for media-keyboards that windows recive and that winAmp use.

y dont u dl winamp 5 is a mix of 2+3 =5. so if u like winamp 2.8 then u going to like 5. i hated 3 and i never used it but when 5 came out i was the first one to jump on it. go to http://www.winamp.com/player/free.php.

i use WA 5.03, and still loads without music loaded, what i do is that i mde a shortcut of WA in the Startup folder, so when my pc starts WA is already there! ready to use!

Hmm good point from the both of you....

i actually have a logitech keyboard for PC, and the play button will load with music in it... but there is a media key button, and you "select" winamp as the program, then it works...

none of those buttons on the laptop tho.....

yeah i stuck to 2.80 cos 3 sucked bigtime... maybe i'll give 5 a shot :-)
well i never used winamp 3 it sucked big time but 5 is like i told you winamp 2 + 3 and that is where this get winamp 5.if u hate 3 as much as i did i promis u going to like 5.
