What do you guys think of it??

I'm planning on switching from Verizon to T-Mobile for this phone.

3G, a real keyboard with trackball, higher res camera, GPS, maps with compass mode, push gmail, a DRM-free Amazon store, Android Market with your choice of apps, MMS, copy/paste, voice dial, removable battery, etc.

reminds me of what the iphone lacks.

Have you looked at the HTC diamond, or Kaiser? You can use them on Tmobile.

How is the reception for tmobile there? I know their service sucks here and don't even think about 3g here.

And it looks alot different in the 2nd pic there. Looks alot better in black.

The second picture is a HTC touch HD,same dimensions as an iphone but with a 3.8" 720x480 screen,5mp camera etc.

I would like one of these when they're available.

I did try to link a youtube prototype review, but said the video was no longer available.

I have a few friends who have it and haven't had problems, but I would def switch back to Verizon if it was unbearable. I dont' give a shit about the cancellation fees.

Why The T-Mobile G1 Is Better Than The Apple iPhone

Why iPhone developers should defect to Android

I'm a new (1 week) blackberry user - totally addicted

imo blackberry crap for web due to scaling, but great for instant email.

Love it, my nokia ditched, NEED email feature now

Looking at mobile broadband but (im in canada) telus just dropped unlimited plan, now have 65mb max with punative gb extensions

Fk em

My mate has unlimited and just leaves it on all the time. Can't believe I missed the deal. Will only sign up id it returns.

The UK has really good competitive 3g mobile broadband.
~$20/month unlimited - pretty fair if you ask me

I like it - and it's got a bunch of unique features the iPhon doesn't have.

Go for it!

Even though Google said that T-Mobile G1 only supports up to an 8GB microSDHC card, with future support for the 16GB version after a firmware upgrade, that’s not the case. We just got confirmation from Google spokesperson that the current version of Android can handle the new SanDisk 16GB card right out of the box.

“We have completed tests, and the new SanDisk 16GB card will run on the current version of Android. No new firmware required.” -Google Spokesperson

SanDisk’s 16GB microSDHC card has an MSRP of $99.99 and will be available at Best Buy Mobile stores in October and Verizon Wireless stores in November - the only major retailers in the United States to carry this mobile storage capacity in 2008.

I love the idea of the G1 but I hate the phone itself. It's ugly.

That whateveritis with the four buttons on it is soooo out of place on the thing. If they got rid of it it would look much better.

I sure wish I could get a hold of an HTC Touch HD here in the states, but it looks like that won't be happening anytime soon...

yeah too bad it's only for T-Mobile or I'd be getting it this month.

Well, T-Mobile seems to treat customers better the ATT but I will let you know in a couple months if that is true.
