Gateway Recovery Partition

Thread Starter
Hello,

I own a Gateway M 153XL with Windows Vista 32 bit on it. By mistake, when I was partitioning my harddisk I formated the partition with Windows Vista. I never made any recovery discs.
1) Is there anyway I could use the recovery partition to restore my windows to the factory settings?
2) How can I retrieve the drivers and other software from the recovery partition?

Please help me with this as soon as possible. Thank you!

I believe if the recovery partition is in tact you should be able to launch the utility at boot up to have it do the factory re-install. I cannot tell you the though if you have done anything to the boot partition which has the util in it. I know if you can boot with a startup CD (win98 possibly) then CD to the correct partition you should be able to manually start the process.

Just do a search on gateways site for "recovery" or similar...
