What is up with the HDX line ?

I am looking for a good, powerful desktop replacement laptop.

I was in Best Buy yesterday and played with a HDX9494. It is exactly what I am looking for.

So I went to the HP website to learn more and I can't find any sales information on the HDX line. Has it been discontinued ?

The HDX line was not discontinued....instead HP switched to making 16" HDX systems. It is the more improved version of the HDX 20.1" laptop
