I have been reading some "older threads" and reviews elsewhere about non-Dell docking stations that would accomodate my new XPS M1530. I have a 3 year old 19" Sony monitor, Bose speakers, and a HP C4180 printer, and ethernet cable that I was hoping to connect and leave connected 85% of the time. Unhook only when traveling.
So far, I have read nothing but negative reviews about Targus products and especially their Express card unit. I read that the older XPS units had the Express card slot right in front; if that is still the case then forget all Express card connections to a docking station.
I also read, here, that the Kensington USB 33367 was very good; installed without a reboot; though at Amazon there were a few negative reviews re: Video connections.
I guess that the Video is the critical issue.
So, any current suggestions on make, model, and good price?
