Help with USB Audio!

Hey guys... So I have this problem with plugging in audio using a USB converter.

So my main priority is to use some speakers I just bought with the USB (b/c the audio/mic inserts are in the front of the laptop which is annoying). It didn't come with a audio to USB converter, so I happened to find an audio to USB converter I had from some headphones I bought a while ago.

The problem with this converter and my laptop is that even though my laptop recognizes that some form of audio is plugged into it, nothing will play out of the speakers! (I even tried it with the headphones that the audio to USB converter was meant for and it didn't work).

I go into the "playback devices" and there is the USB connection (it says "headphones"). I've tried setting it as the default, but that does nothing. I've even tried disabling the main speakers on my laptop, but that still didn't do a thing.

Surely there's some setting that can make this audio to USB converter work?? Any help?????

I would say that there's something defective with the headphones you have, or you're missing a driver. Have you tried another USB audio device?

Well the headphones work perfectly when I just plug them in via the audio/stereo/headphones hole.

Both the headphones and the stereo system that I have both work when I plug them in via the audio/stereo/headphones hole, but not when I use the audio to USB converter.

I have up-to-date audio drivers... is there another driver that I'd be missing for USB?

I would think you'd need a driver for the USB audio device itself, not just those for your soundcard.

Know where I would be able to get this driver? And would this driver have to be specific to my product?
