Details on ASUS' upcoming ROG X58 board:

Quote:
The motherboard offers Core i7 CPU suppot, six DDR3 memory slots, three PCI-Express x16 slots and comes with a VTT CPU power card and quite a few buttons to help overclockers get the very best out of it and the Socket 1366 processor used.

Likely boasting both CrossFireX and triple-SLI support, the Rampage II Extreme also has six SATA 3.0 Gbps connectors, dual Gigabit Ethernet, and even FireWire and eSATA ports. No word on pricing but you can bet it will super-sized.

It has more features than a Trump toilet.

I just don't get the PCI slot layout. In your rig, for example, what else could you put on there after you got those X-Fired 4870X2s installed??? The 1x slot at the top for sound, the x16 at the bottom would be extremely cramped - if usable at all.

My Slots have been pretty much non acessable with any SLI or crossfired setup and water cooled does not help mcuh either.

I just do not use them these days and settle for on board sound etc,

What drives me nuts is when the video card(s) cover the Sata ports as seem the case in many MoBos aka ASUS

I know where you're coming from. The lower pci slots on these latest ASUS boards are virtually impossible to use.
