Notebooks with Backlit Keyboard?

Thread Starter
I know that Apple's Powerbooks have backlit keyboards as an option, but do any PC notebooks have this as an option? FOr me it would be useful since lighting tends to be bad and I do a lot of typing and stuff in the dark....any suggestions appreciated.

People have modded their laptops to have this but don't know of any pre-built that way.

Can always get a little USB mini-light like this

In the UK Packard Bell sell an 88key - notebook style keyboard without numberpad. It uses a USB connection. All the keys glow blue and are very evenly lit. It's just the right size to rest on top of the keyboard built into my Dell 8000. It cost £39, I too wish somebody would offer this as an option for the built in keyboard.

if all you do is type, get the powerbook with the backlit keyboard? if you game - that's a different route back to the PC.

For those owning a Powerbook with a backlit keyboard, did you know you can change its colour (and lose the warranty )?

Here is a French page about how doing it.

[edit] I've just found another one in English
