bought a inspiron e1505 at aflea market. got nothing but the laptop and ac adaptor got it home had to put new memory in it.. now when it comes on tells me new memory has been changed to resolve issue reseat memory then screen goes to this new screen real quick.. this computer protected with a password. please type in sysytem or administrator password. well i can't do anything cause i'm not the orginal owner.. when call dell they won't even give me the time of day because of that.. please help me..

discussion of hacking password is a no no at NBF. You can try with Dell again , giving them the serial number and see if this is a legitimate machine, and request a rma to send it back in for unlocking for you.

No need to send it in, contact Richard B he is an official Dell person that browses these forums. He has helped several people that purchased used systems with passwords set. You can Send him a PM along with the service tag and he might be able to help you out...assuming the system isn't stolen.
