Man I really wish AW would sell their cases a la carte, I know about the ebay store, but Id prefer one guaranteed new.

*quick note firefox spell checker suggested "lactate" for (a la carte *sp?) hahahaha

at one point they had new case for sale on alienware.com about a year ago...they had grey and black for 399.00

Not real sure why Alienware didn't make it the first time at the brick and mortar...haven't Googled...

Do remember I never ever saw a machine here in Houston...oh I looked. Do remember some talk that the Alienware display's weren't well kept at the stores that did have a demo...seemed kinda lame at the time. Almost like Alienware was embarrassed about the whole thang. I thought it was Circuit City...hee, hee, hee. Didn't last long...

I kept asking myself, "Why would I buy an Alienware from a B&M again, when the Configurator (back then) was tax free and S&H was free ($119.00 shipping discount) some of the time?"

I like the fact that you can't order them by themselves. Makes it exclusive to AW.

...and you know dat's rite.

How exactly is ordering them by themselves make them not an AW exclusive???

Its not like anyone else is selling them......It's not like others dont offer similar, the same and better hardware configs....

I can do a better job of matching and installing parts into a case than AW can, I only have 1 to worry about, Im my own technical support(24x7!!! haha), and buying individually each part gives me greater latitude that can easily equate to a more powerful rig at a smaller price.

So what exact benefit is gained by me having AW build my rig with parts I dont want???? What "Exclusive" bennefit do I gain, other than fanboy credibility????

I don't have to answer that because it should be painfully obvious.
