Aurora desktop is now available at Bestbuy - Page 3

I'll give ya that one, archalien. Now I understand where you are coming from.

And, back to the original topic. I do hope the Best Buy experience works out for AW. It would be good if they can become more profitable, unfortunately the timing probably isn't the best with the economic situation. I find it interesting that only the Aurora model will be offered. Imagine loyal AW fans will stick to ordering from Miami.

And, btw, this thread did prompt me to get my computer parts hooked up, so I now have a functioning desktop, albeit not as pretty as an AW.

She's being sincere. You don't have to mock her.

hey all ... I took archalien's comment as sincere.

Now, back on topic ... how about them Aliens?

So they are only selling amd platforms at BB? very interesting.
I dont know any self respecting gamer that would buy an amd chipped gaming rig right now unless cost was the overriding factor, intel chips have just been sooo strong in the last couple years.

looks like they are trying to appeal to the lower end buyers with the AMD's

You guys read the customer reviews yet off of Best buy?
yeah that one guy was like you cant connect it to the internet... what a joke... i guess he missed the whole ethernet card inside of it... if he wants a wireless modem I would have to tell them that not all motherboards have that built on to them...

Those reviews are such BS.

He very well may have been referring to "no modem" and thus unable to hook it up to the trailer parks shared phone line haha

haha,

Just a shame, that the people who don't know much about computers read this, they end up bashing Alienware and it scares off potential customers.

Thats the thing with selling AW systems at a retail store, people buying think it's some home shopping network computer that comes with a modem and a free printer. They need to have a salesperson in charge in the PC section that understands the AW brand and what it offers. JMO.
