dell inspiron 1520

I need to restore my inspiron 1520 back to factory settings due to a virus that i cant remove. Will this remove a serious virus? And how do I do it with the cd's that came with it?

try ctrl + f11? restore should wipe out the virus that you had

actually, restoring your factory OS with Vista is a little more complicated. You'll have to launch VIsta startup repair which will give you an option to load a Dell factory image.
