Please Help Satellite A215-S4757

I have a Toshiba Satellite A215-S4757, I downloaded the latest bios update from Toshiba, and I didn't run it I had it loaded to run. But as soon as I ran it the computer froze and I had to reboot it.. The power button didn't respond so I had to remove the battery to turn it off.

When I placed the batter back in, and hit the power button. The screen didn't come on.

Now the laptop is completely dead. I attached a USB floppy but nothing is happening. Is there a Key combination I have to press for this model. I would hate to have to replace the main board.

Someone please help me.

What was the purpose of the BIOS update (just because you happen to see a new one does not mean that it will be helpful). If it was not one to correct a known problem on your laptop you have just created a large problem. Laptop will have to be taken to an authorized Toshiba repair facility to reflash with the original BIOS

how much does that cost? How can I flash the original Bios. The update was the correct one but it was done through windows and windows crashed.

The update was suppose to fix the blank screen issue.

The computer's warranty just expired in sept. Do u think they will fix this since its a common issue?

Best thing is to call Toshiba. You cant reflash it
