Was just given a laptop need a little help pics inside...

OK guys I was given a laptop today from a friend with to much money. There is no charger and he has no clue where it is. I would like to find a charger for it but cant seem to locate one. I have included photos of the model number of the battery and photos of the laptop any help would be greatly appreicated. Is anyone familiar with this note book as well? Is it worth a crap?

Just in case I cant post photos the number for the battery is Model No.D870BAT-12 it also says 87-D87ps-496
It is a Dc 14.8V 6600mAH
The laptop is marked with a sticker on the bottom which says Hollywood Gold Liberman Inc. and a website which is www.go-I.com which does not work.

No pics? If you're having trouble, you can post them using free image hosting websites, such as imageshack. Until then, can you post the specs that you know of (i.e. screen size, any stickers on the notebook indicating its hardware, etc.)? The only thing I see that might indicate what notebook you have is the D870/D87p, which indicates it is a Clevo D87p, and that notebook is rebranded by several manufacturers, including Sager as the 8790. However, I have that particular notebook and its battery is a 14.8v, so I could be wrong....

Yep, that's definitely a Clevo D87p. You may be able to get an AC adapter from Clevo or a reseller of Clevo products. You'll have to do some more research to find rebranded names other than the Sager 8790. Many resellers have sold your notebook before, but it is over 4 years old, so you might have some trouble buying an AC adapter.

Yea I gathered from a search of the model number that it was a Clevo battery just have no clue where to buy the charger. I found a few blurbs here and there about the laptop itself everyone seems to think the thing never existed or was no good you guys know anything about it?

But shop around. Clevo probably used the same power supply over several different models and newer ones would work also.

You may want to have a return policy especially if you're not certain the notebook will even work. It should be a good notebook though as long as it's in working order. If it comes with a Windows XP Pro license that is worth saving right there for $50. I wouldn't try running Vista on it but it should make a fine XP computer and you may even find it's worth tossing a larger and faster hard drive in there and adding a little more RAM.
