Is the A01 a revision 1 card? Or is it a revision 0? I'm assuming 1, bu I want to make sure.

The best way to make sure is to look at the GPU BIOS version of the Rom on your GPU. It will tell you if your rom is rev0 or rev1. Also, the physical size of the rom will tell you as well. The system BIOS will show you the GPU BIOS version if you boot with the F2 option. You can use NiBiTor or NvFlash to tell you the filesize.

Reference:
Rev0 version: 05.71.22.16.13
Rev0 filesize: 62.5 kb
Rev1 version: 05.71.22.28.01
Rev1 filesize: 61.0 kb

Yea, I found a page with that info on it, but I have a friend who has one uninstalled. He wants to figure out of it's a rev.1 or a rev.0 without installing it and it reads "A01" on the card. I figured an "A00" would be rev.0 and an "A01" would be a rev.1, but I just want to make sure.

Well the sticker on the card is not an accurate way of telling the revision at all.

Which version is better? And why?

Rev 0 cards were better over clockers and easier to OC as well.

Hmmm, I have a Rev0 card and it is a real stinker when it comes to O/Cing.

In general, rev0 cards are way better cards to have. Of course, there is still a possibility of getting a crap rev0 or rev1 card.
