Hi,
I've bought a Promedion D470V which is the same as a Sager 4780.
I've just received it and am trying it out. Now I got a question about the TV tuner, of which I didn't found the answer on this forum.
The thing is that I have a widescreen monitor. Instead of cropping the top and bottom of the image, the image of the tuner gets stretched horizontally to fit my screen. This is very ugly to watch.
What I mean is that I wish to keep the 4:3 relationship while viewing the tv fullscreen. If I view tv fullscreen now, the people on tv are all vertically squished.
On a standalone widescreen tv I'm able to view the tv image in a 4:3 relationship (as it is meant to be viewed), but 'zoom' the image so it fills the complete screen, leaving a bit off the top and bottom. I'm then allso able to move the image up and down if the subtitles are partly offscreen.
This is what I want to do on my laptop. I don't want to see squished people on tv or black bars to the left and right of my screen.
I hope I'm making myself clear and someone has the releaving answer. Meny thanx in advance!
