max HDD size for 710m?

Does anyone know what the maximum hard drive size is that can be installed on a 710m?

Or the largest size that has been tested by Dell?

You should be fine with any ATA-6 2.5" hard drive, up to the max available in that format (ie: a SATA hard drive will not work).

Largest PATA (aka ATA-6) I know of is 100 GB for 7200 RPM and 250 GB for 5400 RPM. Don't know of the biggest 4200 RPM drive for PATA bc I would never get a drive that slow. There may be a limit on where you can put your boot sectors but if you don't run multiple operating systems, you do not really have to worry about that.

I run a 160GB samsung drive. It's fast enough for me. The 250 GB drive is to slow.
