Install SSD ?

If I purchased a Portege R500 S5008X ( no optical drive model ), would I be able to install an SSD in the future ?
I thought it would be less expensive to buy this model now & upgrade later on than to come up with over $2,000.00 for a newer model with a SSD & an optical drive that I don't need.

If i see it correctly, this model comes with an "optional" SSD. I am not sure however, if one chooses not to exercise this optional, one would be able to "upgrade" at a later time. Toshiba is your best source for this type of question
