Amilo A 7618-09GD Upgrade

Hello everyone,
I am thinking of giving a slight blow to my old notebook once i need one to install Linux Debian distribution and experiment with them. The thing is that my notebook has only 256Mb ram. Has anyone idea about how much ram (max) and what kind i can buy in order to be compatible?

. Specs say max ram = 1gb
. stick with PC2100 module

Hello and thanks for the reply.
1Gb is overall max - 1Gb max in the spare slot?

Right now i have a 256Mb installed but i dont know where it is. I only have access to one slot opening the under cover. I dont know where the second ram dimm is.

. more likely that it will be under the keyboard
. 1 max = both slots total
