I just realized I had misposted the specs for the CPUs. The T7600 is currently installed on the desktop and it's available as the combo offer. the laptop has the yonnah in it

the video card died and I lost interest in fixing it since I switched to apple. I'm parting my otherwise maxed out e1705.

the specs of the system are:
wuxga glossy screen+lid $150
T2500 core duo -yonnah 1.8ghz $100
2x 1gb DDR2 modules $40
160GB HD $80
bluetooth, dell wireless $40
bad fx2500m card -artifacts on boot. - good for the dual heat-pipe -$40
1x70w PSU -20
1x150w PSU -20
mobo+ base shell/keyboard 200
the system would be full functional with a working videocard.
500 for the whole setup.

I'm also parting my desktop system:
Asus N4L-VM-DH mATX - socket M
T7600 2.3ghz cpu
1gb DDR2
the system is running a full leopard install with no problems
$300 for this combo
all prices are OBO

Is that $500 shipped?

If it is, can you hold it till Oct 24th? If so, I'll take the whole laptop.

Are you also going to need the burned video card from this laptop? I am interested in the video heatsink from it.

Yes I'll need it at first so I can do some testing and troubleshooting. If I end up replacing it, I'll let you have the heatsink.

the card I initialy had died after a corrupted bios flash. I ended up buying 2 cheap cards in the hopes I can resuscitate the system. both cards had artifacts going and my attempt to swap the bios chip on the original was unsuccesfull. there is a thread here I poster asking for help on that. the current card only boots in VGA and has artifacts. so I have 3 dead video cards with heatsinks that I can part out.

Shooter, the screen has no pixel issues. I can wait till the 24th however I found interest in attempting a 8600m gt transplant from a vostro system and if I find that it works I may keep it.

Please let me know ASAP which way you're gonna go, because my friend wants to buy it and he told someone on a different forum that he changed his mind on buying their alienware laptop. That way he can possibly still get the other laptop in case you're keeping the e1705.

I have bought dual-pipe heatsink from R_Mutt on 18 Oct. The transaction went smooth and heatsink arrived on 23 Oct and it was the right one Now my i9400 kicks ass

You don't happen to have any more dead 7900GTX cards do you? You had mentioned having bought two that were bad. I might be interested in buying one from you.

Skillz I am about to send him a payment for one of his dead FX2500's. I have seen a few people give him props for there sales going well. He looks like a good guy. When all turns out well I will deffinetly post back.

I bought the other dual-pipe heatsink from R_Mutt. Got card just over a week after payment even with Christmas in the middle of that week. Great transaction my e1705 is now up and running again. If you get a chance to do business with this guy...go for it!!
