Hey, I have a VGNFE790 from about 2 years ago. Today it started not to turn on. When I press the power button the power button and the 3 leds next to it turn on but the screen does not and I don't feel the hard drive spinning either. I tried to do the thing where you remove the battery and use only the AC adapter but that has the same results. Does anyone know what the problem is? I'm going to try and reseat the ram soon once i borrow a right sized screw driver. Over the last few months I did notice that it was taking longer and longer for my laptop to boot. It would sometimes sit on the Vaio screen forever until i reset it. But now it wont even show that. Thanks for any help.
edit= would replacing the hard drive fix the problem? Because I wouldn't mind, seeing how the 60gb on there was never enough for me.
edit2= So i took out the ram and put them back in and it worked fine for a week. Now i have the same problem but reseating the ram does nothing.
