5796 Heat+FP issues

Just got the Sager 5796 from PCTorque, I installed Vista Ult x64 and most of the drives. So far I'm loving it except a couple things:

1. The palm rest area on the right side of the touchpad runs pretty hot, feels a lot hotter than the left side. So I took the temperature of the 2 surfaces, got 92.5F for the left side and 100.5F (!!!) for the right side. This is very uncomfortable for the right wrist during long typing session. Even after a few mins of turning the fan on full (fn + 1).

So I run up CPUID's hardware monitor to check the components' temps. And got:

ACPI: 42C 107F
CPU: 30C 84F
GPU: 47C 116F
HDD: 50C 122F (!!!)

The drive is a Hitachi HTS723232L9A360, I've no idea if it's the problem. I couldn't find anyone else reporting this issue so is my sager somehow defective? Should I return it?

2. Both the Finger printer reader programs from the driver cd and newer version downloaded from sager's driver website freezes up the comp during installation, when it's 'updating the system'.

TIA.

The temperatures you listed aren't all that high but you didn't say what you were doing when you took those temperatures.

Is that just when the computer is sitting idle or after playing games?
