as the title says I'm in desperate need of help or advice on how to remove the hard disk drive on this beautiful little sony vgn-a617m (label on the front palm-rest) model no. underneath is showing pcg-8u1m. 17" xp pro.
I've had it 3.5yrs w/out any bother working perfectly, shut it down as normal sun night went to bed. Turned it on yest morning & nothing happens at all, the power pack is giving out the correct power but when pressing the 'on' button simply nothing happens - no lights on anywhere at all.
So I'm thinking that if i can remove the hard disk & recover my data then try to figure out what the heck's wrong!
any help or advice very much appreciated.
