Last Friday I ordered some parts for my M15X. I ordered the smartbay harddrive (320gigs at 7200rpm), the smartbay battery and a stick 2gig ram.

Today I checked an dit is on the Fedex truck for delivery!! yay.

Can anyone tell me how they have found the smartbay to be for swapping out and such?

It's about as easy as it gets once you've installed the drive in the tray. A small phillips head screwdriver is all you need. After that, it's as simple as pushing in on the release lever and pulling the smart bay attachment out. If you want to do it hot, just "Safely Remove" the device in Windows and swap it out, just like you would with a USB drive. Congrats!

Did u mean an external HDD, a smartbay HDD, or an external smartbay hdd???
3 different products, and from context it seemed to me what you wrote may not necessarily be the product u had in mind....????

he means external in the fact that you can take it out and swap it for an extra battery...

I insert the smartbay battery and I cannot tell if it is working. Where do I look to see two batteries installed?
