Massive error in ati Xpress 1150 (vostro 1000, inspiron 1501..)??

Hi all

I've got a problem with my laptop, a Dell inspiron 1501, and would like to ask for all the help you guys can give me.

I've tried 4 laptops vostro 1000 (from different orders) and my inspiron and all had the same issue, possibly because they have the same video card, and ATI Xpress 1150. It happens with external LCD displays connected to the VGA output, the image has a small (some times not that small) vibration that make the text in some areas blink. The distortion occurs (I think) because its impossible to adjust the phase of the video output with the phase of the signal generated by the display to convert from analog to digital (it only happens in LCD displays), and here comes the problem its impossible to adjust it (yes, I've tried -autoadjust-, and manual), I've tried 7 different monitors, (2 LG 17" (different models, different panels), 1 LG 19", 1 19" ASUS, 1 20" DELL, and 1 24" DELL), I've tried it at my home, office, and in a friend's home, and the problem persists. nearly 3 months and a half since i opened the trouble ticket with DELL they say the cant reproduce the problem!

And here comes my petition, i would really like to know if this is only happening to me, if some of you have a dell laptop with Ati 1150 and an external LCD (bigger is better), and 5 minutes to help me, i would be really grateful.

To test the problem:
1. connect the monitor to the VGA output
2. Activate the VGA output and set the resolution as the native of the monitor
3. go to http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/clock_phase.php#clockcalib
4. If the image is sharp you don't have the problem but if you see lines moving around... you have my problem (you have guarantee?)

Well, thanks for reading this, and for your help if you can help me!

Cheers

PD: excuse my english, i wish it was better

I have exactly the same problem with my Vostro 1000 and a Samsung T200 lcd screen.
Changing to a lower resolution helps a little bit but the screen keeps flickering.
Have you found a solution to this problem?
