Booting Problem in Dell Inspiron 1525 Windows Vista HP

Hi All,

I have bought a new Dell Inspiron 1525 with Windows Vista Home Premium just before two months (Sept 2008) and facing a problem of Black Screen only mouse is active since last three days I just asked Technical support guy to help me out the same but he asks for charge though I have three years warranty even for Physical damage (complete cover).
Problem: when button is pressed to start the laptop it first shows the Dell logo and then goes to a screen that shows “Microsoft Corporation Resuming Windows” as usual and then goes to a blank screen where nothing can be done only mouse is active. Restarted many times but went all in vain. If started for diagnosing the error then it shows all pass except one fail. Message is given below.
I have tried to diagnose it and found the following error…

--------------------------------
Error Code 0F00:137B
Msg: DVDW_4-Disk is missing/blank, insert data disk (Examle:RCD)
The given Error code and message can be used by Dell Technology Support to help diagnose the problem.
----------------------

I don’t want to reinstall the OS as I have some important Data on C Drive.
Speedy help will be appreciated.

Got the same problem on my HP, the culprit was a bad hard drive.

Are you sure you called the correct Dell support line? Complete care covers any hardware issue with the system. Either your hard drive is defective or something screwed up the factory imaging process.
