Hi, i have a gateway mx8715. it is preloaded with vista home premium and i hate it. It wont run anything video related very well and crashes a lot. I upgraded the ram from 1 gig to 4 but it hasnt changed at all. i have a feeling that vista is taking almost all the ram from the video card and using it for itself. If you know how to make vista work better that would be nice, but if you cn help me to get XP Pro 32bit installed that would be awesome. I have tried to install xp pro but i cannot find the right drivers. i was able to find drivers for the sata hard drive but i have no clue where to look for the rest. I saw a post in this forum and one guy said that he was going to slipstream xp with all the drivers specifically for xp. I was just wondering if you ever did it and if i could have a link or if anyone else knows where i can get one. Any help would be greatly appreciated seeing as ive been suffering with vista for about a year now. I tried ubuntu but have never used linux before and do not know much about installing windows programs. thanks.
