IBM ThinkPad T42 Laptop Keyboard problem

Hello Guys,
I have a older laptop that I was trying to fix, due problem with the OS, I reinstall a new Windows XP OS, and got all the driver working. However, I have discovered a problem, when I open any text program, internet program, and I type something, it seem to type number instead of words.

Heres an example of what I am talking about, this laptop picture that I got from online, is the same laptop that I have. As you can see the right side of the keyboard has the numbers on the letters, on that side, so when I type something on the right side with numbers and letters on my laptop is typing numbers insted of letters.

Anyone knows why its doing it? I really wanted this laptop to be an complete working laptop.

Any helps will be highly appreated.
