HP Battery Health Check

Hi Everyone,

I recently bought a new HP notebook and ran the HP battery health check in the HP Total Care Advisor.

The result showed the the battery is in good health but the image shows a battery that is only about 80% full (even though the battery was fully charged).

Is this normal? Does that image adjust dynamically to show how healthy the battery is or is it just fixed like that?

Any help would be hugely appreciated. If my battery is not perfectly healthy I would like to take it back to the store as soon as possible.

Below is an image of what I am talking about.

I think that's just the picture they chose to use. try running it down to say 25% capacity and check again. I'll bet the pic is still the same as the one in your screen-shot.

I believe that drlouis is correct, that is just the way the graphic appears.

HP battery check is always a little fishy...why would HP make a product that can only result in them having to shell out more money for battery repairs.
