Hey guys and girls
I'm currently own an Asus A6JA, have had it for nearly 3 years now, but lately it's been acting up (as i have posted in the Asus support page) and it's obviously becoming quite outdated now with the new games coming out. So lately i've been thinking about getting a new laptop. I would state exactly what i'm after, but i'm not that familiar with with all the computer jargon yet (i know some but not enough).
so an outline of what i'm after (maybe an extremely rough outline):

- Able to play the current games that are out
--e.g. Farcry2, Starwars force unleashed, F.E.A.R 2 -aka project origin (i know it's not out yet), uh.......what other new games are out? or coming out? lol...haven't been keeping track lately.
- Average price range around $1500-$2500NZD (which is roughly $900-$1500USD) -- Yes i'm from New Zealand XD
- Laptop model: Hmmm....Asus or Acer would take priority over others, but still open to suggestions.

hmmmm that being said, it looks like i'm after a gaming laptop haha. I'm sure i've missed a few things out...but that's all i can think of right now.
i've looked at some already (namely the Asus G1) but that is way too expensive (at least for a university student) here in New Zealand (a country that over prices most things), cheapest store selling it at: $2900NZD ($1737USD)
there's just too many laptops out now and it gets more confusing now to choose a decent laptop.
So, throw your suggestions at me and i'll check if any stores in NZ have the ones that are suggested
