Lets say my budget is unlimited (its not but lets pretend it is) and I want to buy a 15 inch gaming laptop.

I am basicaly between two laptops, the dell XPS M1530 which looks great, comes with bluray, card reader, fingerprint reader, etc... just great.

or the new macbook pro laptops which are more powerfull, specialy in the videocard department... but they use MAC OS, I would be usin vista on it anyways. I dont like macs.

so I guess my question is, is gaming on a macbook pro with vista bootcamp a reliable solution? or will I run into problems eventualy with drivers and things like that?

or should I just go with the dell?

Look at Sager, Alienware, ASUS, Hypersonic. Before you just pick one of those two.

I agree with Darq. There are several other notebooks you should look at. Personally, I'd avoid the new MacBook Pros since they are comparatively light on connection ports and accessories that many other notebooks have and they are also more expensive than most notebooks with similar internal components. I'd recommend the Asus M50V notebooks for a good balance of performance, ports, and price, or if money isn't a concern and you want top performance, look at the Alienware M15X.

The M50V is nice.

If Money isnt a problem, the alienware 15 incher sure seems to be the top choise but ive had bad experiences with them before... what about that asus? it seems just as powerfull as the alienware

The Alienware M15X can have up to a 9800M GT, which is a more powerful graphics card than the 9600M GS in the Asus M50V series notebooks.

However, Asus recently came out with a 15" notebook with a comparable graphics card to the Alienware. The Asus G50Vt has a 9800M GS graphics card, which is almost as powerful as the 9800M GT in the M15X. The Asus G50Vt is also around $1000 less expensive that a similarly configured Alienware M15X.

So I guess I'd recommend the Asus G50Vt for a 15" high performance gaming notebook. You can check it out here. Or, you can get a more refined all-around machine with less graphics power in the Asus M50V or N50V notebooks.

That sums it up nicely. While it can be configured to be the most powerful 15" notebook out there, it's going to cost you an arm and a leg to do so. For those who have the cash and demand the absolute best performance they can squeeze out of a 15" machine, it's a good option. But for gamers on a budget, I'd recommend something else.
