Dell vostro 1400

Hi

I have a dell vostro 1400 with XP installed.
Recently I wanted to boot it from an USB sata HDD.
I have set the boot sequence in Bios but I cannot find any option in BIOS to disable the internal HDD .Please help me out for it. How can I disable my internal HDD from BIOS else then unscrew it.

If it's Windows you're wanting to boot you won't be booting it from a USB hard drive. there are Linux Distros that will work. as far as disabling the drive there's no option for that. Why don't you want to use the Internal hard drive anyway?
