XPS 1330 crashes when enable wireless

Hello,

Whenever I enable wireless switch, my computer crashes. It does not depend on OS since it even crashes during BIOS.

By "crash" I mean: Caps Lock + Num Lock lights blinks. Keybord+mouse dont work etc.

I've just unplugged the wireless card antenna cables and it works perfectly now. OS sees the wireless card but of course no signal at all.

The only clue I can give is that: "before the problem occurred, I hold the case just below the fingerprint reader (near wifi switcher button) and raise the computer. I heart a cracking sound (not sure)". I am not sure about this cracking sound. I may have cracked the motherboard. However this does not sound reasonable since everything works perfect, except wireless.

What can cause such a problem?

I replaced the wireless card. It worked without any problem. The strange thing, it continued to work after I re-install the first (the one causes the crash) card. How can that be happen?

Probably it was a loose connection/seating ... my wild 2us cents guess. Glad to hear that it is now working!

cheers ...
