Dell Software Return Policy Question

If I were to return a laptop to dell, but I've already opened the software that came with it, windows xp, etc. Then would I still get the full refund?

wow yeah of you would But I do believe if you want the shipping charge to be waived you have to call in and hope a rep will agree with your return and the reason for it. Is there any reason why you want to return it?

if its defective they will replace it, but if its opened and such that its unusable policy is to contact MS due to the software is unusable again, unless it is the dell recovery cd

With dell, if you return your system (regardless of whether software is open or not) within 30 days, you will get your money back (in the US), no questions asked. They might push back a bit or attempt to "buy you off" with further discounts, but ultimately they will not refuse your return.
