Wi/fi, Bluetooth devices missing

Thread Starter
I have a travelmate 5720-6120 and have just re-loaded winxp. All is well, except the laptop says no bluetooth or wi/fi device attached.
I loaded from a valid xp cd, and tried every driver listed on the acer site for the 5720.
Any ideas?
thanks

Turn on the Wifi/BT adapter and restart laptop. After restarted if nothing happens. Then go insure your system does detect the hardware, go to Device Manager and see for any 'Unknown' or 'Networking' or something else on 'Other Device' category.

If nothing there, explain how you installed the Windows XP.

If exist there, you only need the right driver and explain abit how you installed the WinXP.

it seems that after hearing from acer, this laptop has NO BT device.
But it has a BT switch on the unit...cripes.
Anyway, my latest is the power meter always reads unknown battery levels when unplugged

No BT but maybe have WiFi adapter atleast?

For the Unknown Battery Level you need to unplug the AC and have the laptop start using the battery to indicate it.

it may have a switch because it was an option for that laptop, who knows

take battery out, plug in ac adapter, boot up with no battery, shut down and put battery back in and start back up, see what happens
