Sony laptop blue-ray

Hi all, ive got a sony laptop with blue-ray player and was wondering if it is multi-region , if not is there a firmware update to make it multi-region.

Blu-Ray players are coded for one of three regions. However, many Blu-Ray discs are region-free, so they'll play in any region. I wouldn't worry about making your player region-free unless you have a disc that won't play because it's from a different region. If that happens, there are a lot of programs that claim to be able to make players region-free. You can find several via a quick Google search, but since I have no experience with said programs and more importantly since I am not sure of their legality, I will not post any direct links or specific suggestions.
