Asus g1s & Compal JHL90 Not Booting

Hi there,

I Have an Asus G1s. I have just bought a Compal JHL90, and tried to upgrade my G1s cause I like him.

I exchanged the processor (T7500 <-> P9500), the RAM (2Gb <-> 4Gb Kingston HiperX), and the Wireless module (4965AGN <-> 5300 AGN).

I turned on them and both keep black screen and the dvd trying to read, but nothing more. So I left them back like at the beggining, but still not booting.

Any ideas?

Thanks a lot

Well, the processor you put in has a faster bus speed than your computer, so I'd imagine it would underclock, but it shouldn't shut the system down entirely. When you put all the original components back in, did you remember to lock in the CPU (rotate the clamp-down screw)? That would prevent your computer from booting.

Hello, thanks for your support.

Yes I did, I checked that with both processors in both laptops
