memory?

I have a dell latitude C840 and I was directed by dell that I need a PC2100 stick for the memory but you say to use a PC2700 in an answer to another question. Will either work?

either should work. The PC2700 will just underclock if the system won't operate at 333Mhz memory speed.

says you need a pc133 SDR memory, not DDR

warnush, you are incorrect, you looked up a Latitude C800, NOT A C840. The C840 takes PC2100 DDR RAM. I used to own an Inspiron 8200 which is exactly the same as a C840.

if you already have pc2100 and put in some pc2700 they will probably both run @ 2100 (lowest common denominator)
