Good trade or not?

First of all, sorry for the double post. But i only got one reply on the other post. So i'm trying in one of the more visited section. Here it goes. I have a guy wishing to trade me his Alienware Area51 m7700 laptop for my Thinkpad T43. Both laptops run great. I have actually played some games on the 7700. My only concern is the reviews and nasty comments on the 7700. My IBM is still under warranty until december of this year. The 51 is out of warranty. It would be a straight accross trade. thanks for the help.

specs are 51m
p4/3.4/2.5gb/6800/two dvd burners/xp

IBM t43
Centrino 1.86/80gbHDD/2gb/atix300/cd-rw-dvd-rw/vista ultimate/index 2.0/

what is a 51?

and its only a good trade if you think it is........if youre in it for the preformence, itd be an ok trade, the 6800 can still rock out at some games and many older games

if you need mobility, then obviously the answer is no

if you're in it for the money (like i do) then you should check ebay complete listings on both laptops and try to gain a sense of what the market looks for both laptops
