New 13" mac

I am new to the mac game, but i keep hearing "those things cant even play video games" ... being that im in college I cant forsee spending a ton of money on a mac and not being able to pop in a video game and play it online. If the 13" mac can play games i think i am going to go buy it The only game i play is battlefield 2 ... I also see on their website about a new video card they have in the new 13" mac. Also will it be able to support future directX 10 games? My friend has a macbook pro, but installed windows on it, i rather not do that.

also, how about adobe photoshop?

The video card in the 13" MacBook is only a step up from an integrated solution really. It is not a high end video card. That being said it probably would play some current games at least, but since I am not a heavy gamer I can't comment on it to much. You know it would at least be better than the older version of the Macbook, and I believe there is a thread specifically on their gaming performance somewhere in here. The Macbook Pro of course has a much better video card and oyu would likely be perfectly fine for a time gaming on that.

Photoshop you would be fine on.

In as far as gaming in general, most people that do so still dual boot to windows as most games still come out for windows only.

The benchmarks here and here should give a good indicator of performance.
