Wondering if I got a good deal. I paid 145. Compaq presario 1275us
1.7 GHZ
40 gb hd
960 Ram
AMD Anthlon XP-M
CD-RW/DVD Combo
13in screen
It has an engraving which I will have to cover, and the battery is shot on it.
I was thinking about installing a DVD burner, but not sure if the ram is high enough to sufficiently support it? How much is it truly worth? Thanks in advance!

For that price, you do have a good deal. 960mb Ram is plenty for XP, and yes, you can install a dvd-burner if so chosen. I recommend go slowly and test the comp out first before investing $$ for upgrade
