Hey guys, the CEO at my office has an XPS M1710 and the vid card just went out. Classic strange characters and lines showing up on the screen
. So we bought a new card. An fx 512mb card. It fixed the problem for a while...Now that card has gone out. You think its coincidence or a bad mobo?
Anyways he wants me to buy a new card so he can get a new notebook and pass his M1710 to a fellow coworker. (it would be an upgrade so long as the graphics card doesn't die again for the co-worker). He's only wanting to spend around $100 or under on the new card. My question is will the ATI D810 card or possibly the ATI 9700 M11 work in that machine?
Or do you have any card recommendations. He's wanting a 128mb for now.
