Why can you not get the 8800 anymore? Was that the heating problem you think?

the 9800m gt replaced the 8800gtx. according to most benchmarks its only about 2% slower and it is a newer card.

It's actually the exact same card, they just renamed it.

There is absolutely no difference between the two.

Its actually fact, but I know what you're talking about

Many believe the 9800m GT is the 8800m GTX with a new name because they are so similar.

The key that separates the two is the 9800m GT supports hybrid SLI. what’s unfortunate is the m15x still uses binary GFX vs. hybrid sli even with the 9800m GT

If I remembering right to upgrade to 8800gtx was a grand and the 9800 is only 500 bucks so I dont think it is the same card.

it was a grand in the m17x but in the m15x it was only 500 bucks to upgrade to the 8800 card or the 9800 card...
