Hi all,

Does anybody installed successfully an Intel 5300AGN on an Inspiron e1705? I recently bought one from ebay and after a successfull installation under win xp pro, the board seems that it cannot turn on!

Any ideas???????

Thanks,

Probably a dumb question but have you tried turning it on in the bios? It is turned off if you did not previously have one installed.

Grrrrr, same issue here with Vista x64
Code 10 with latest driver and code 39 with older driver, both driver can't start issues.

Must be motherboard related.
Having issues with Atheros based cards as well.

Keep me informed please. I ordered it for my m1210 and didn't realize it may be incompatible.

The guys reply is a little odd.
The i5300 is on a MiniPCIe card, the chipset doesn't matter.
What may matter is PCIe 2.0 which this card may only support.
Or it could just be a driver issue.

If the M1210 has the i945 chipset then it will most likely not work
