I am not sure about using an USB stick for flashing BIOS on a Sony. You might want to look into creating a bootable CD (using Nero utility per example) for flash

bad news is now i can't install my o/s system..
it gives me a blue screen saying my bios is not fully ACPI compliant..
i did the F7 thing and nothing????
i think my keyboard don't work due to i put in a new hard drive that i got from
fry's..
it says to update my bios ???
help what do i do now ???
thanks

. how did you get it to turn on?
. what OS were you trying to install?
. when did the blue screen come up (at what stage of the installation)?
. the message can be misleading sometimes - try remove/swap/replace the ram module and see
. if the keyboard does not work, how did you start the OS installation?

i swapped the ram with eachother..
and i just turned it on and it said no o/s found..
i put the disk in and then it said checking system..
then right after it said preparing to install thats when it came up
with not ACPI comliant..
right when it was going to start the install on the hard drive..
i swapped the rams so many times i don't know how the went the
first time..
did i do something wrong??
should i get new ram and toss the old ones??
or should i try one at a time??
and dose it matter what side i keep in ??
dose it matter like a main one??
I would try just using one stick of ram module and see how far it gets

cheers ...
