help: call of duty 5 crashes to bluescreen

i got cod5: waw recently. played only multiplayer so far.

problem: it already crashed three times to a bluescreen.
i tried to change the video driver from 180.42 to stock
dell 175.75. same problem.
btw: i used no overclock. atitool off. no background processes.

i guess it is the game, cause i played cod4 for a LONG time
and never had this issue. also played through bioshock,
farcry2, etc. never a bluescreen there.

is there anyone with the same system as mine who experienced
the same problems with cod5???

try re-installing or updating your directX drivers

Run DXDIAG

i installed the newest (november) dx9 now. will try playing tomorrow..

but what to do in dxdiag? i am in the dx diagnosis tool, it shows
everything to be ok.

and how should i set the hardware sound acceleration for my sigmatel card?
it is on max by default.

DXDIAg is a tool to identify which version your running that's all

yeah, but you can set other things there, too.
like the sound hardware acceleration.
and as the sigmatel card is a onboard card,
i wonder, if disabling accelaration would be useful.
i read of some other people having problems
with cod5 due to some sound card settings..

i read through the official treyarch cod forum. it seems a lot of people have this bluescreen problem. so i doubt it's my pc. some recommend to downgrade the video
driver to 175.16, most have no real solution and hope for a patch.
this game is so buggy compared to cod4, it sucks..

I had only one crash so far, but until I did a upgrade to my DX drivers it would not oven run.

i'm just trying if the new dx version helps.
if not i'll try the 175.16 driver.
the problem is not repeatable, it happens then and when.
and the annoying thing is, the crash can reset your lvl to 1,
so i nedd to backup all the time...

1 day was ok.
today: bluescreen again.
i have 2 friends playing with me.
both also have frequent crashes (different ones, though).

i'll try the old driver.

my problem is: i'd like to read the bluescreen, but it stays too short (~3 secs)
