Haha, am I going to have to pm a mod to change that? Can't get the right kind of attention for this thread :P

Small update. Although I was in Phase8 Friday and Monday, I still don't have a tracking number. My phone call first thing this morning informed me that I had shipped, but my followup call tonight told me it was somewhere between the dock for pickup and the pre-sort of Fedex. Bottom line it didn't go out today, likely will tomorrow. Love/hate relationship with this phase game I tell ya.

Wednesday has come and gone. My contact has no information why I'm still in the final stage of QC. Been there since the 12th. Had there been something wrong, I would have been bumped down to an earlier stage, and I'm told that I'm not behind a backlog of orders.

I seem to have been lost in the system again. Lol

Thats tech support speak for we dropped your laptop, and the glue we used to hold the pieces together was failing, so you'll have to wait till we can get more touch up paint to hide all the damage we caused before you get your laptop back.

Pretty much. The guys is customer advocacy all know me at this point. The emails get circulated to them all. I can tell they're annoyed at my two-a-day calls.

When AW "ships" a system, that means it's sent to their shipping department. They have a FedEx depot at their facility due to their shipping volume, so it usually takes a couple days to get your tracking number after they tell you it's shipped. If it's been entered into the FedEx system, you should get your tracking number before it's been fully processed.

It's possible due to your second day shipping request that it's causing a bit of a delay. AW's standard shipping is with FedEx Home, and that's a completely different company than FedEx.

I know when they ship to Canada, they're charged by the shipping case, so some shipments are delayed until they can fill a shipping crate. Not sure what the deal is with your location, but it could be the same thing.

It's also possible that something was discovered in final inspection, but archalien's completely unsupported spew on AW damaging your system and piecing it together to ship it out is complete speculation by an AW hater.

Hopefully you'll find out soon what the deal is, and arranging second day delivery isn't going to end up causing more of a problem/delay in the shipping that'll take longer than normal shipping would. Unfortunately, I've noticed there is a higher frequency of problems with orders that vary from their normal routine.

I didnt even mention AW in that post.....????
Lots of companies have tech support, and its my experience they pretty much suck across the board, and last I checked popular opinion is with me on that one.... Hammer is just a fanboy AW apologist who needs to insult other board members so he can feel better about himself.

Actually, I found out that my credit for old laptop came up $10.42 short of the price of the new specced laptop

So it sat in phase8 for a week while their accounting/billing/shipping departments banged their heads together collating that information.

I asked today if I could just paypal $11 and get shipped, but he said that would take much longer. He's requested that AW absorb the $. We'll see how long that actually takes to move up the pipe.

Tracking number finally 15 minutes ago. With 2day Express, should be Monday. Well, or Tuesday depending on if Fedex moves on Saturdays.

What a long strange trip this has been, heh.

No matter what Archalien says (), I think you got a pretty good deal overall. Here's hoping that your new system will give you many years of enjoyment. (My AW is going on 3 years now without a problem. )
